The team is anchored by Managing Director Alison Petrie and Director of Events Renee Bennett, two of the industries most experienced and highly regarded professional conference organisers.

Hi, I’m Alison and I am a Director of the company and my operational role is Managing Director. Ever since I graduated from University in Scotland with a degree in hotel management, I have been drawn to the area of events. I love seeing something through from start to finish”.

Alison’s association with the company goes way back and she is just so proud of the way it has evolved in the last 16 years. As Managing Director she is tasked with running the company and delivering shareholder value, but the wellbeing of the team and client satisfaction always comes first.

“Hi, I’m Renee and I am a Director at Encanta and my operational role is Director of Events”

Renee started with the company in 2002 as an Event Coordinator and now 14 years later is one of the owners and on the way produced two beautiful children too!  She loves managing events and especially the partnership and interaction with clients. One of her major skills is to talk to a client about their vision for the event and then to take those ideas and with a great deal of creativity and thought, make that vision a reality. She has a great ability to create exciting stage and styling productions and never disappoints. We hear a lot of wow comments when people first walk into a room Renee has been instrumental in designing.

 “I love event management, there is no other profession I could pursue. I also love how the business events industry is evolving and how important continual face to face interaction is for the development of so many people in a variety of industries.”

LEXIE DUNCAN
Senior Event Manager CEM

Lexie has over 13 years’ experience in marketing and event management, specialising in hospitality and conferencing. Before commencing with us in 2006, Lexie spent almost four years in London working for multinational investment banks Goldman Sachs and Credit Suisse in Human Resources, Marketing and Events. Her studies in Psychology, coupled with creative ability and a strong insight into clients’ requirements, has helped Lexie develop an excellent profile within the industry. Lexie takes great pride in delivering efficient and successful outcomes for our clients. Her move from Perth to Melbourne in 2012 to establish the Melbourne office has not only strengthened her network and experience nationally, it has provided her with the opportunity to do what she loves most – shopping, eating out, sports and the arts.

Hi I’m Lynne and I have a dual role. I am an Event Manager and also the Business Manager for Associations.

A highly efficient, adaptable corporate professional with over 10 years’ experience in business and office administration, executive assistance, sales, marketing and event manager roles, Lynne brings a diverse range of skills to her position.

Working in small, large, public and private organisations and having direct exposure to wide range of industries including engineering, research and development, telecommunications, mining, insolvency, finance, transportable building and construction Lynne has gained invaluable insight on how and how not to do things. Not only does Lynne bring a plethora of business administration experience to this role, she also has extensive event management experience. With her sales and marketing background, Lynne is always taking a proactive approach and identifying new prospects for all business opportunities.

“Hi, I’m Daniela, I’m an Event Coordinator based in our Perth office and I love being part of a great team”

Daniela has a Bachelor of Tourism with a Major in Event Management, as well as a Diploma of Event Management which she obtained in her home town of Canberra. She has over five years of experience in the Events industry and prior to that came from a hospitality background. She also has strong venue experience due to her previous position as Event Coordinator at the Perth Convention & Exhibition Centre.

Daniela thrives on continuously learning and gaining new skills to enhance an event and improve her own experience, she isn’t afraid to put herself out there and has even been known to step in at the last minute to chair a poster session!

Emily has nearly 15 years’ experience in event management, promotions and marketing across a number of different industries including medical and entertainment. Prior to joining Encanta she worked on the national conference for one of Australia’s largest medical colleges (RACGP) and has had the unique experience of being a client of Encanta’s before becoming part of its team. Since then she has managed a range of conferences across an array of industries. Emily is also active member on a number of Community Boards.

“Hi, I’m Michelle, and I am an Event Manager located in our Melbourne office”

Michelle holds a Diploma of Events Management and a Diploma of Business, and has over 8 years’ experience in the event and conference management industry. Michelle spent the first 2 years of her career as an Event Coordinator for a not-for-profit association in Perth, she then set her sights on conference management and made the move to Melbourne joining us in 2012. Because of Michelle’s previous roles she has a particularly good understanding of the dynamics of government organisations and the association industry. Michelle enjoys the diverse range of associations and companies she has the opportunity to work with.

“I am a bit of a perfectionist so have a high level of attention to detail and I love to be organised. I pride myself on providing the highest level of customer service that I can”.

Hi I’m Brittany and I work with our awesome Melbourne team.

My passion for the event industry was ignited when I assisted with corporate events during my early Receptionist days. I continued to work in the administration and have been fortunate enough to do this across a range of different fields including Accounting, Marketing and for the last three years, Mining. Between these positions, I have been able to travel and work overseas, including working on the ski fields of in British Columbia, Canada.

Seeking a new environment and a challenge, I moved to Melbourne in 2016. I am very excited to now begin my journey with Encanta and pursue my deep love for event planning.

Originally from the UK, Charlotte travelled to Australia to begin studying Event Management. With over 5 years’ experience in the Hospitality industry and also working as a Corporate Events Hostess in London, Charlotte has recently gained her Diploma in Event Management alongside being recognised as top four state finalist representing international students at the Western Australian Training Awards 2017. As an Assistant Event Coordinator at Encanta, Charlotte’s job is to provide overall event support to the Encanta team, specifically on the registration side. Charlotte prides herself in providing personable customer service and loves building rapport with her delegates.

Nakita made the move to Australia from her home in New Zealand more than 10 years ago. After spending a couple of years working in the Events industry in the Whitsundays she decided on a move across the country to gain further experience in the industry. Nakita has been in Perth for more than 7 years and now calls Perth home. She is highly dedicated to the work that she does and loves being part of a strong team. With a background in event coordination and styling she has strong attention to detail and loves seeing all aspects of an event come together.

On behalf of Suicide Prevention Australia (SPA), may I sincerely thank you for your contribution to the 2017 National Suicide Prevention Conference; it would not have been such a success without you.

There were more than 500 delegates who attended the conference in Brisbane over the 4 days from 26-29 July, and feedback has been overwhelmingly positive, particularly regarding the diversity of presentations and experiences shared. Given this was our largest conference yet, it was also encouraging to hear delegates feedback on how safe and supportive the environment was. It was a great opportunity to celebrate our 25th anniversary with everyone at the LiFE Awards Dinner.

Convenor ASA National Scientific Congress 2017

Your team at Encanta have been most professional and accommodating to everything we have asked for in organising the Congress (with no job or task being too small or too hard) – including printing my speech notes 30 minutes just before opening ceremony which I left at home on Saturday morning!

The feedback from the delegates have also been great and no doubt more positive feedback will be coming back in the next few days.

I have always thought that the ANZCA ASM in 2012 (in which EECW was the PCO) was the best anaesthetic conference I have ever attended – and without any bias, I very strongly believe that the Encanta team have just raised the bar significantly higher with our Congress.

The National Catholic Education Commission 2016 conference was hosted by Catholic Education Western Australia (CEWA). Over 1400 delegates attended the three and half day conference in Perth. The conference organisers, EECW were selected to coordinate the conference. From the moment EECW were involved, the conference shaped into an extraordinary event that attended to the theme of Faith to Lead: Lead to Faith. Delegates feedback was extremely complementary of their experience, with many attesting that it was the ”best conference one has attended”.

EECW ensured that every detail was attended to as requested by the state and national planning committees. From registration to the final lunch, the conference offered diverse experiences to the diverse delegate needs. No issue was too big or too small for EECW to attend to. Their professionalism, meticulous planning, creativity, innovative and thoughtfulness ensured this conference set a very high benchmark for future conferences.

As coordinator of the State planning committee, I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending the team at EECW in organising conferences.
